As I have a story in this collection, my review applies to the other nine tales. The latest Bestseller Bound anthology encompasses a variety of genres, from literary fiction to urban fiction, historical fiction to modern romance There is a little something for everyone here. For me, the standouts were Maria Savva s Winter Blues, a literary fiction piece with an unexpected twist at the very end J Michael Radcliffe s Scale of a Dragon, a fantasy tale with a likewise unanticipated turn of events, and Cliff Ball s The Day the Lights Went Out, which was a great example of speculative fiction. This anthology series is a great way to experience indie authors, and I cannot say enough good about it.

I really enjoyed this collection of short stories I have a story in this anthology, Winter Blues , so I won t review that, except to say, I hope that readers will enjoy it The other stories were all interesting and different in their own ways One of the things I love about these BestsellerBound Anthologies is that we have so many members at who write in different genres, and when we ask for submissions for the anthologies inevitably we receive stories in very diverse genres In this collection for example, there are stories ranging from fantasy, paranormal, mystery, science fiction, and If I had to pick favourites, I would say Whisperer by Jaleta Clegg and Scale of a Dragon by J Michael Radcliffe really had me enthralled but I truly enjoyed all the stories This is fabulous collection for someone who would like to try out new authors before reading some of their other works All the authors in this collection have published other stories and novels Definitely worth a read

What an excellent collection of stories and that s not even counting mine All of them are fresh, clever and certainly worth reading Maria loved the ending of yours, I laughed out loud I would have to say that my favourite was The Wars Within a creepy, clever, spinetinglerI always love reading about stories that deal with the mind and that s a particular interesting subject and one I m using right now in my current work.I loved the magic too in Scale of a Dragon and how Skins reminded us of the cruelties of the world and the deliciousness of payback oops, is that wrong to think like that I cannot fault any of the stories, however, and it s a great way of reading tasters of other writers.Such fabulous talent, every one a winner.

BestsellerBound Short Story Anthology Volume 3is an eclectic collection of short stories Ten of the BestsellerBound authors contributed to the anthology While all of the stories were readable, a few stood out Maria Savva s Winter Blues was a light, easy read which made me giggle at the end The story was an excellent build up to the punch line at the end Skins by Jess C Scott was an entertaining tale of a dark elf s revenge The revenge was clever and the story explained how Laer featured in The Darker Side of Life got one of his weapons.J Michael Radcliffe s Scale of a Dragon was an entertaining fantasy story While the story was short, it was complete I loved every aspect of this story Callen was a sympathetic protagonist and the dragons were appropriately majestic The ending of this story surprised me as well.

This is such a great way to discover authors, the short stories are not united by a theme, so each one is a different treat from human ailments in Winter Lights to magic, wizards and dragons in Scale of a Dragon Some of the stories have an unexpected ending, like in Laundry Day and a nice revenge in Skins Now that I ve gotten a taste of the author s writing style I am very interested in reading from them.
