First Comes Marriage is my first read by Sophia Sasson I was captivated by Ms Sasson s storytelling from page one Meera and Jake s story is a train wreck of opposites being attracted to each other From different countries, to different cultures, even to different foods, two people couldn t be different Ms Sasson has guided us through the ups and downs of Meera and Jake in this well written story First Comes Marriage is enhanced by fantastic characters, humor and drama I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading from Sophia Sasson in the future First Comes Marriage is a complete book, not a cliff hanger.I won a copy of this book from Goodreads.

Loved this book.Meera was such a likeable character ,I truly wanted her to chose Jake. Her family backstory was so interesting it made me want so much for her.I wanted to slap her mother and was so relieved her father was so wonderful. How about Raj and Priya for a tie in story.I will actively look for books by this author.I received this book free as part of goodreads giveaways.

I loved this debut novel from Sophia Sasson The author puts a multicultural twist on the boy meets girl standard that reflects the world today She deftly interweaves issues of parental and societal expectations with the desire to live a real, authentic life Both Meera and Jake are real and relatable and I was rooting for the, from the first page Sophia Sasson is one to watch

What a great debut novel I loved this unpredictable love story that takes readers through many twists and turns of a wild romance Both main characters are so well developed Meera is London based Indian physician doing her rotation in a small rural US town Jake is a ranch guy who is as different from Meera as one could imagine While Meera is promised to an Indian man in London, there is an undeniable connection between Meera and Jake Clashing cultures, clashing personalities you can t stop reading Sasson shares their story in a way that makes you laugh and cry simultaneously You care about these two people, learn about their cultures, and ultimately root for them to make it work I hope that Sasson continues to charm us with many novels

This is book is a true Bollywood meets Hollywood romance The books is very entertaining, there are some laugh out funny moments and as well as some heartfelt moments that brought tears to my eyes I loved reading through Meera s journey, as this author does phenomenal character development It is rare to see an Indian south asian heroine in an American novel and Sophia did a great job of representing Indian culture I think this is a must read for everyone who loves LOVE, and they will find that they can relate so much to a story where you have to choose between your heart s desire and your duty.

This was just too much. The whole town is horrid, not just from the way they treated Meera but also the way they treated single mothers Jake the love interest treats Meera like garbage and the random acts of kindness he does do not make up for him being a jerk.I did like how accurately Meera s culture was portrayed, but that was it.

Acceptance is very hard to come by unless earned Dr Meera Malhotra is an south Asian borne Indian living inLondon In order to finish her medical rotation she needs tospend time in Bellhaven This town does not take a liking to new people especially a well breed medical doctor who is not use to treating small town poverty patients.Jake Taylor, a cattle rancher who was born, raised and nowowns the ranch is very settled in his small town ways He has a cottage on the ranch that Meera requests to stay whilein town as no one else will rent to her. This book presents cultures that are uniquely different with well developed characters who pull at your heartstrings. The book is extremely well written The authors descriptions were solid scenes which put me right there with the characters. This is an intriguing, well plotted story blending adventure, humor, romance and twists and turns It s about learning tobreak free of the past then being able to walk into the future Thank you to the author for this eBook My opinion is my own.

I absolutely loved this book This author did such a great job of making me get to know and fall in love with the characters I felt their anguish and joy as they maneuvered through obstacles and people who tried to keep them apart It was hard to get past the last few chapters as I had to keep wiping tears from my eyes Some tears of frustration as the main characters went through hell and then some as I felt the absolute love between not only the hero and heroine but of the heroine and her family and the love of the town toward the ones they considered family The book was a nice long one and so often I thought it was wrapping up when something else was tossed in Difficult decisions were handled nicely and both characters made compromises The author truly made me believe in the love between them and convinced me they d have a beautiful Happy Ever After.
