I was a little disappointed with this cookbook I had hoped to get low carb friendly recipes but it was limited I liked only SIX Some are not even low carb glad l did not spend money on this or l would have been disappointed or taking it back

  2. says:

WHile I appreciate the scope of this book, I walked away with only a few recipes that are feasible for my home life I also think the organization of the recipes might need a little work Other than that, great ideas.

  3. says:

Easy directions for most recipes Good recipes with regular ingredients.Only drawback is that there are no pictures.

  4. says:

I found this book disappointing Recipes follow the strategy of eliminating fats and salts but some recipes then add sugar to make up for the missing flavors Based on my reading, recent dietary advice is to have some fats and not to add sugar Also, many of the recipes rely on canned ingredients Canned foods are often higher in sodium, so this seems counter productive On the other hand, for some folks this makes the recipes easier and thus practical A definite positive is that at the end of each recipe there is nutritional data and exchanges listed.

  5. says:

The carb sugar counts in the book were crazy high for anyone with diabetes

  6. says:

Nothing better than coming home after a full day s work and smelling that wonderful aroma of food ready to be eaten And even if you re only feeding one or two people, the leftovers can be refrigerated or frozen for future meals I just wish there were pictures of all the dishes, because I m all about the pictures

  7. says:

I liked it but the ratio of good recipes to Mmnnh recipes is 1 15 A lot of the recipes listed are similar to each other Especially in the meat sections, for roast they have several but they ll only be 1 or 2 ingredients different that the one before Not worth buying.

  8. says:

Love this cook book except for the simple fact of all the recipes are for a lot of servings each Usually 8 or servings per recipe Lots of great things in it you don t need to be diabetic to enjoy them either Enjoy

  9. says:

I bought this book before reading many of Ms Good s other Fix It cookbooks Had I done so, I wouldn t have bought this one, but her Big Cookbook, because most of the recipes in this book are also in the big one.

  10. says:

The best recipes, that Charles has loved have come out of this book Mom and dad liking them too It s a winner
