Despite the funny title, it is a good book I am trying to figure out the different learning styles of my children and how to best teach to their styles. A fantastic read Clearly outlines the myriad of ways people learn and how to capitalize on the way your child learns I d suggest this for teachers and any parent wanting to know how to bring out the best in their child. Very informative.great descriptions of the different types of learners, and good tips for helping each type learn in the way that works best for them I would highly recommend this book to anyone that has a child that learns differently than the methods used in traditional public schools or adults who have a different learning style This book taught me how to be a effective teacher By identifying how my children learn, I can understand why they struggle in some areas and not worry so much about what they can t do Instead I can focus on how to teach them in a way they understand and I was also able to identify my own learning style.I highly recommend this to any parent. Everyone learns differently and no one way is better than the other Just because your child doesn t learn in a certain way it doesn t mean they aren t smart I found this book to be really informative. A must read for everyone The bottom line is how we are smart not how we score Markova also published a book for adults, but I find How Your Child Is Smart can address all ages Offers encouragement and options for you and your child. This book helped me survive my children s younger years Especially when ADD was diagnosed for one of them This book brought sanity to my mind and peace to my heart. It is quite interesting. This book is excellent This book explains six patterns of learning and teaches you how to help your children learn based on their own pattern of learning Reading the chapter describing my own learning pattern left me blown away It described me exactly I have learned so much about how my children learn and I m excited to begin implementing all that I ve learned.I think this book would be helpful to any parent, homeschooler, or teacher.
