I m always impressed in this series by how much hard work the family does together just to get by and how they still have fun in doing it, making up games and stories And remembering that the things they do are for the good of the entire family I really loved reading about Josefina and am sorry that this is the last story about her that I have to read And now I want to try my hand at weaving the way they tell in the back of this book An excellent series overall Josefina is heading into the mountains with her father to visit her friend Angelinto and his grandfather Santiago who care for the rancho s sheep, if she does well on the journey, her father may take her and her sisters along to see the wagon train in Sante Fe When they arrive though, they are surprised to find Santiago has gone blind and papa believes he is now too old to care for the sheep any When Josefina disagrees with her father she believes she has ruined her chances of going to Santa Fe, but when the pair are caught in a storm on the way home and Josefina must rescue her father she gets a chance to prove she is old enough to handle things herself.
