Buckley and Bogey are back at work, this time solving an international jewel heist These books just keep getting better and complex, and Buckley, Bogey, and their friends are growing as characters Buckley s confidence in his ability as a detective is growing, but he is just as humble and sweet as ever I love the interactions of this group of cat friends with each other and with their humans I purchased the paperback of this book and plan to collect the rest of the series both for my own enjoyment and possibly to read to cat loving grandchildren someday. This series of books is ideal for boys and girls and for anyone who enjoys a talking animal story, a fun mystery with some action, a good deal of humor, and a few life lessons in the mix.Highly recommended

This book was a thanksgiving present to me and one I will always treasure This is my second Buckley Bogey book and I just can t get enough of these cats The theme of family and friendship is very strong in this one, the criminals are quite unpredictable, and the cats stand together like never before taking huge risks to keep each other safe and resolve another case, wow I was also very happy to see that although Buckley easily panics with most unexpected situations, he is eager to improve his detective skills and become courageous like his brother, Bogey Buckley truly does find his courage in this story making it heartfelt Two of my favorite parts are when the boys encourage Gracie as she prepares for a piano recital and when the cats mom has to kick a lady out of her store for threatening the cats, WHAT NOBODY messes with these felines OR their loved ones Also loved the ending, such a great book and truly loved the cover Go Buckley Bogey and friends There s no doubt about it, these cats are my heroes will the humans finally realize that the cats are smarter than they seem in this one how intriguing

From the beginning pages of this book I was hooked After all I am a huge fan of mysteries where the main characters are cats and with The Case of the Jewel Covered Cat Statues we get two Buckley and Bogey two felines who have a knack for solving mysteries and even have their own detective agency Heck these two felines can even read and use the computer I love seeing events unfold thru the cat eye view of Buckley which really makes for an interesting read I love a well written mystery and this book provides that easily Fast paced and easy to read the feline duo also provides than a few laughs as they do their thing They have plenty of habits that are so like my own cats especially the treat eating Along with the mystery Ms Vincent also weaves in several valuable lessons about family, faith and loyalty that really adds another layer to the story. This is the purrfect mystery for cat lovers and mystery fans alike Easy to read chapter book for youngsters but I think all ages will enjoy this well written mystery While this book is actually the third book in the series the author provided enough background information that it can easily be read as a stand alone book That said I really want to read the first two in the series because I want from Buckley and Bogey A complimentary copy of this book was provided for review.

I love my kitties But I can also say that they do not act like little kitty detectives What about you Is Your Cat a Detective Are they investigating things Buckley and Bogey are some super cute black cats who were adopted into the same household They have formed their own detective agency and like to help the local police solves cases This time the case involves their mom who owns an antique store that was broken into But nothing was stolen In fact, the cats discover that something was actually left behind by the perpetrator From there they start searching for the missing cat statues They go to the museum Some kitty friends take to climbing the dinosaur exhibits and create quite the scene while Buckley and Bogey get to go see the statues that have not gone missing as well as photos of the two missing cat statues Will the cats find the two statues Will they make it out alive I do have to say that they find a false bottom in a closet, and a secret passage in an old church Such excitement Great read My oldest daughter is 10 and is enjoying reading this book as well Makes you wonder again is your cat a detective Are you their cover I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Reviewed at The Power of Words blog The Case of the Jewel Covered Cat Statues by Cindy Vincent is written for young readers, somewhere in the 8 to 12 year range, I enjoyed every minute spent with these delightful felines and their humans Obviously, I m an easy audience for this story because I m a cat lover, but no amount of loving cats can make a bad book enjoyable Cindy s story has so much going for it because it s very well written, funny, imaginative, and filled with important life lessons that are cleverly woven in.Best friends and cat detectives, Bogey and Buckley, are quite a pair Bogey, lead detective, is thin and kind of wiry, able to run so fast that some say he can even fly His crime solving partner and narrator of the story, Buckley, is a two year old Maine Coon Buckley and Bogey love their humans, run surveillance at night to protect them, and prove to be quite adept at solving mysteries Other household cats and their friends populate these pages, including Princess Lil Bits, and Miss Mokie, the Wise One who rules the house with an iron paw The cats talk among themselves, even use the computer, and have distinct personalities and strengths which they use to help.In some ways, The Case of the Jewel Covered Cat Statues makes me think of a fable, for a fable is a tale that teaches a moral lesson, often with animals as characters and that is exactly what Cindy s stories do In addition to the well plotted mystery and humor, Christian values are creatively woven throughout, in a way that offers a springboard for discussion with young ones values like teamwork, mentoring, love of family, hard work, persistence, the wisdom that comes from a long life, learning to look past the surface, and reaching out to the handicapped I found several parts of this story especially touching First, that the senior Miss Mokie was loved, respected, and sought out for both her company and the wisdom she offered Secondly, the way other cats reached out to two special needs cats, Annie blind and Henry deaf , and worked to find them loving homes Another part was how Buckley and Bogey interacted with 12 year old Gracie as she struggled with her piano recital piece, something to which I can totally relate With the help of his brother and other loving cats, Buckley grew throughout this story and made a most important discovery Friendship was the real treasure Without friends, we d never really be happy The Case of the Jewel Covered Cat Statues is a book that will entertain young readers, but could easily open up teaching moments if adults read it also And in thinking back to how much I enjoyed my mom reading to me, I believe this book could work very well as a family read aloud book Highly recommended 5 star rating for young readers and cat lovers everywhere.Thank you to Litfuse Publicity for providing a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

as reviewed by my 10 year old daughter I really liked everything about the book It s cute, it s funny, and it s very intriguing Whenever I would turn the page I couldn t wait to see what was on the next couple pages.I really enjoyed reading this book partly because of the cute characters, Bogey and Buckley I love how Bogey is like a mentor to Buckley in their cat detective business I like how it spoke about family and love, and how Buckley would do anything to protect his family.I liked the story because it took place in modern time For me it is easier to read things that take place in modern time because it is easier to understand I also like books that take place in small towns or little villages, like this book. This story was so well written I could almost feel as if I was in the small town of Bogey and Buckley It was so detailed I could picture everything in my head the cats, Mom, Dad and Gracie, the street where all of the stores are, the church, everything.I really enjoyed how Cindy Vincent the author spoke in her book She makes everything clear And I also liked how it felt as if Buckley were speaking to you, like he was telling the story to you As if you were right there. And last I really liked how the mystery was solved in a church I liked how the family was religious and loving And the thought that they cracked the case in a church makes me think that God was with them when they solved the mystery That He guided them to the answer.Overall it was a great book Thanks to Litfuse Publicity and the author for providing me a free copy to review All opinions are mine.

The Case of the Jewel Covered Cat Statues is full of fun, as well as suspense Cindy Vincent has a flair for humor, dialogue, twists and turns The majority of the book is dialogue between the cats and her take on the various feline personalities is just hilarious In this book, there is Hector a Siamese cat who is a really big blabbermouth , who talks non stop in the car and everywhere else , which reminded me of how cats meow and sing the song of their people when heading to the dreaded Vet There is a strong and heart warming message of the importance of friendship that is the heart of this mystery Friendship, pvercoming greed, believing in yourself and teamwork It shows us that often we must look deeper into things, even things that are outwardly full of glitter, sparkle and shine , instead of just taking them at face value. From The Case of the Jewel Covered Cat Statues Humans especially are easily taken in by anything that shines Gold and silver and diamonds and rubies To name but a few And most certainly, there is nothing wrong with owning and collecting objects of great beauty But, when the quest for those objects makes you do terrible things, that s when you ve crossed a line Full of Heart, High Jinx and Hilarity, this one needs to be on your MUST READ list

My feline loving, mystery loving 4th grader absolutely adored this book Following is her review. The title of this book is The Case of the Jewel Covered Cat Statues and it s by Cindy Vincent It s about two cats Their names are Buckley and Bogey And they re also cat detectives Buckley and Bogey are the main characters There are also other characters but you have to read the book for yourselves to find out about them On a foggy Sunday morning when the sky was still dark out, Buckley and Bogey s human mom s antique store got broken into But nothing was stolen Instead, something was added It was a bag But they didn t get to open it right away They put the bag in Buckley s pet carrier and soon found two clues They put those clues in Bogey s pet carrier A few days later, they finally got to open the package Inside was a statue made by Danby Daunton and covered in gems But I m not gonna tell you what animal it was or what the status was called because you can read the book and find out yourselves And I think that this was the best book ever And I think that this book is good for everyone to read
