I was dying to read Patrick s story since he was introduced in Discovering Dani, and I m happy to say his book is a winner Man, oh man He was adorable when he was nineteen, but he s to die for now that he s thirty one He can do my laundry anytime he feels like it, that s all I m going to say For those who ve read the first two books in the series and expect this one to be as sweet and innocent as those, beware the love scenes in this book are sizzling hawt and way steamier than the ones features in the previous books This is Ms Walters as she s usually known, i.e., sexy, a bit naughty and oh so delicious Suffice it to say that I m packing my suitcases and moving to Jamesville, LOL I know Patrick has already been taken lucky, lucky Shannon but his brother Shamus is still on the loose that is, until the next book in the series, LOL Should I wait awhile before I read Shamus s book so I can pretend he s still available and make him the star of my dreams in the meantime Nah runs to get The Seduction of Shamus O Rourke

Hottest of the series and the first one I would classify as erotica The Return of Patrick O Rourke by N.J.Walters tells the story of two characters who appeared in the first Jamesville series book Discovering Dani Patrick is Dani s younger brother and Shannon is Dani s mother figure s niece Tight, realistic story with some meat about an abused woman taking back her sexuality and control.Patrick is recuperating from a successful drug bust shootout that cost him his partner and left him seriously injured His sister, Dani, drags him back to Jamesville to recover at her house Patrick runs into Shannon, a waitress and old acquaintance, and is drawn to her almost against his will Impatient with his recovery rate, he jumps at the opportunity to act as her bodyguard when he discovers her abusive ex has been released from prison early and is threatening her The time he spends in Jamesville and with Shannon, the conflicted he becomes about exactly what his future should hold.Shannon is a complex woman She had a crush on Patrick when she was younger, but he never really noticed She stayed in an abusive marriage for 10 years until her husband almost killed her The depiction of an abused spouse is eerily accurate and may bother those who are familiar with like situations Shannon is, however, determined to reclaim her confidence and her sexuality and is making progress Then her ex is apparently released early from prison and begins his taunting phone calls Will she ever really be free of him Enjoyed this one all the way Patrick is hot, hot, hot A dark knight and protector and WAY yummy I can t wait for Shamus story which is currently available in ebook and will be released in print November 2008 And Gill Baron s the Alabama detective who helped Shannon prosecute her ex story A Legal Affair was just released in ebook and is not yet scheduled for print release Check out N.J.Walter s website for info.

For the most part, I enjoyed this quick read Both the plot and the characters were good, but there were numerous glaring grammatical errors and some places went into excruciating detail for normal, mundane moments, i.e, changing clothes, recovering from injury, etc The book began with a prologue that wasn t really a prologue, too The beginning is, well, the beginning of the story Because the plot held me glued to the book, I gave it 4 stars Had the writing been tighter this would have been a shoo in for a 5 star read, IMO.

I really enjoyed this book, very well done romantic suspense The story shined with a very likable hero and a sweet vulnerable heroine The small town was charming and the secondary characters were an interesting group I m looking forward to continuing the series, this was a winner.Triggers view spoiler Heroine was in an abusive marriage The violence is mostly told in flashbacks but her ex husband is stalking her No OW OM or cheating hide spoiler

This book is sooo boring The h constantly needs to be assured that she is beautiful and sexy by the H Plus, who hires a bodyguard that is fresh out of the hospital from several gunshot wounds

I truly enjoy how an alpha hero s protective instincts kick into high gear when a heroine is in a dangerous situation Shannon had a nice balance of vulnerability and independence while Patrick was a swoon worthy, take charge and not too arrogant type of guy Good story with a menacing abusive ex husband thrown in 4 stars.

The third book in N.J Walters Jamesville series Patrick O Rourke, brother of Dani in the first book of the series, returns to Jamesville to recuperate A relationship in the last thing on his mind Enter Shannon BrookerGood, steamy, emotional contemporary romance.

Very good erotic romance Way steamier than the first two in the series Hurt comfort theme with a woman abused by her former husband I thought the author handled that pretty well There were a few too good to be true moments that gave it a Lifetime feel but not so much that it got hokey I would recommend this definitely.

I was deeply curious to read Patrick s story He was portrayed as a very mature and responsible boy in the first installment of this series,Discovering Dani This book slightly different than the other two It was complicated, not as easy and sweet as previous book, and also have a heavily sexual content This book definitely erotica romance, but it was a good one, NJ Walters absolutely know how to write great story.Patrick comeback to his hometown, Jamesville, after his partner died and got shoot himself He was in medical leave for three months and very eager to get back to his work in New York Shannon was barely survived from abusive marriage, and decide to settle down in Jamesville to help her Aunt, Jessie She decide to hire Patrick as her bodyguard as long as he was on leave because her ex husband get out of prison and went to threatening her again Shannon had huge crush when she was young with Patrick and Patrick find himself attracted to her I loved the sense of reality of this book, it made the story and the characters very believable The suspense plot made this book exciting Walters s description about abusive issue was very right on spot and it made this book a very good one.

Good book about Shannon who is running away from her abusive ex husband who recently got out of prison and Patrick who was a NY City cop who got shot in the line of duty I love how Patrick is so protective of Shannon and I thought the part on the couch and on the washing machine was really hot.
